The 2014 World Cup winners were ousted from MU's main squad so they had to train with reserved teams. Perseverance Schweinsteiger makes Mourinho returned to the first team before finally leave to MLS by joining Chicago Fire in March.

"In my eyes, that's when it's not the right position, but in life sometimes you go through this situation where something is not right and not your will, but you have to accept it and I accept it," Schweinsteiger told ESPN.

"I said 'OK, I accept it, but I still want to stay here [MU] and want to practice I want to show that I'm a trustworthy player' And that's what I did in Manchester I then trained with the first team and played With the main team.I mean, it's not easy when I have to train alone for three months, "he said.

Ahead of Schweinsteiger's move to the United States, his relationship with Mourinho recovered. As Mourinho apologizes for his treatment of the player.

"It's difficult, but I always believe in good things," Schweinsteiger replied when asked whether he regretted joining United. "And I always dreamed I could play again for United and help them, and I gave my best in training sessions."

"And in the end, I'm playing and scoring goals. That's the situation," added the owner of the eight Bundesliga champions with Bayern.
